Researchers and a television crew were looking for two naval ships lost in Lake Superior a century ago. Instead, they found a tugboat that mysteriously sank in 1879.
Debris from the Titan was returned to land off Newfoundland, nearly a week after an international search-and-rescue effort for the vessel ended and its five passengers were presumed dead.
With hopes for rescue dashed, searchers are turning to documenting and perhaps retrieving parts of the imploded vessel, as an investigation of the disaster gets underway.
