In this war, a gloves-are-off, by-any-means-necessary retaliation is unacceptable, regardless of who is engaged in it.

This is a winnable race, despite the president’s age and the country’s division.

If the ballot counts hold out, the country is on the cusp of a significant change, but there will be much to do and undo.
