It has been several decades since American tennis players dominated en masse this deep into their home Grand Slam tournament. The American tennis party looks to continue for at least a few more days.
Expect the three top-ranked women to dominate the tournament. But at least one, the defending champion Elena Rybakina, says she isn’t taking any opponent for granted.
The Open is the only Grand Slam tournament where women use different balls than men, and the Wilson ‘regular-duty’ ball has gotten into some players’ heads.
