Republicans voted to cut Mr. Jones, who was expelled from the House in April, out of all debate after he was deemed to have breached new stricter rules of decorum.
Only days after Republicans ousted two Democratic lawmakers over a gun control protest, one has already been returned to his seat and local officials unanimously voted on Wednesday to send the second back, too.
County officials are expected to vote Wednesday on sending Justin J. Pearson back to the state legislature, less than a week after he and a colleague were expelled.
